Co-presenting Using Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) to define cycleway routes

10:30 AM - 10:45 AM

Presentation in PDF format

Biography

Graeme is a senior engineer with over 20 years of NZ and UK/Ireland civil engineering experience, in the transportation sector. Based in Christchurch a recent role has been as project design lead for a number of the major cycleway routes being designed and implemented by Peloton (a partnership between Beca, GHD and Stantec) on behalf of Christchurch City Council. He has a “fair bit” of MCA experience on both CCC and NZTA projects. In 2015 he wrote a MCA guidance document for Christchurch City Council for use on the CCC Major Cycleway Project which included criteria for impacts in accordance with NZTA guidelines. Graeme believes a project should be objectively robust and defendable, and that objectivity can be achieved through the MCA process…. Well that’s the theory anyway….the rest is down to the right weightings and sensitivity analysis….!
