Throughout her life, Lyndal Johansson has been a keen advocate for walking and cycling as vital elements in the everyday personal transport mix. For the past five years, she has been lucky enough to have worked at Sport Hawke's Bay contracted to the iWay project that began in Hastings but now encompasses Napier as well. Her role as Community Cycling Development Officer for both Napier City Council and Hastings District Council has seen her spearhead the “soft side” to the promotion of walking and cycling in and around the urban centres of the twin cities. During this time Lyndal has established cycle skills training in schools and within different adult populations, as well as organising and running numerous community and school events.

He will bring current up to date knowledge, innovation, excellence innovation and strong road safety analytical skills. Peter has 10 years of local government experience. He is confident presenter and will be both entertaining and present a power point free address in an innovative way.

Patrícia Vasconcelos is a Senior Transport Planner – Walking and Cycling with an extensive mix of private and public sector experience over the last 18 years overseas and in New Zealand. She has been involved in a wide range of transport projects at the policy, planning, investigation, design and management levels. In the last decade Patrícia has focused on the walking and cycling domain. At her current position at Auckland Transport she works towards a walking and cycling friendly region where these transport modes are seen as safe, convenient, comfortable, pleasant and fun for people of all ages and abilities.

Tracy has over 16 years of experience working in both Local Government and consultancy in New Zealand, the UK and Ireland.
She is an experienced transport planner with projects involving transport policy development and implementation to scheme delivery. She is passionate about creating a transport environment that provides genuine and active travel choices for people of all ages and abilities. She has experience of updating RTS14 and assessing the existing walking environment with local users. More recently, maternity leave sabbaticals have given a fresh perspective on how the streets are used throughout the day.

Nigel Fitzpatrick has ridden mountain bikes for 25-plus years and regularly commuted for nearly all of that time. He promotes cycling as a means to health, enjoyment, and saving the planet. But this is more a story about his family's perspectives on cycling which in some ways differ quite markedly.
