Biography

MAGGIE Maggie is an experienced Human Factors specialist and Behavioural Scientist with a PhD in Human Factors psychology from Monash University, Melbourne. Maggie joined Waka Kotahi in 2019, bringing her extensive consulting and research experience in behavioural science, systems safety, accident analysis and transportation psychology. She is passionate about applying behaviour change and systems methods to enhance the safety and resilience of NZ’s transport network; in the course of realising this passion she has acquired significant expertise in designing, conducting and analysing human factors and behavioural projects and translating these findings into meaningful recommendations and policy advice. Her clients have included the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Police Association of New South Wales, Ministry of Health, Victoria, Transport Victoria, as well as major mining, retail and freight organisations. Prior to joining Waka Kotahi, Maggie was the lead Human Factors consultant at Navigatus, a boutique risk management company. Before this she spent four years as a senior researcher within the Behavioural Sciences team at WSP, following six years as a researcher in the Human Factors team at the Monash University Accident Research Centre in Melbourne. She has also worked in the commercial team at Arup, London on the King’s Cross Underground upgrade and for the Injury Prevention Research Unit, University of Otago as a data analyst.

Biography

Whitney Adam specialises in social, environmental and equity impact assessment of transport projects with extensive experience in Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand. She is based in Aurecon’s Auckland office. Whitney is interested in the intersect between health, minority groups and how we get around. Whitney is one of the founders of Women in Urbanism Aotearoa, established in 2017 as a platform to amplify the voices and actions of all self-identifying girls and women.

Biography

Tiffany Robinson is currently a Senior Active Modes Coordinator for Auckland Transport (AT) managing the Regional Walking Programme. She has over 15 years of planning experience in the public and private sector, primarily in active modes planning and community outreach here and abroad. Prior to her work at AT, Tiffany most recently worked as a Senior Transportation Planner at Harrison Grierson. Prior to her move to Auckland in 2018 she worked for the City of West Hollywood, California managing their Citywide Bike Share Program, WeHo Pedals and serving as their first Bike Share Coordinator. Tiffany has expertise in a wide variety of planning work, including pedestrian and cycling facility planning, pedestrian and bicycle master plans, policy review and development, Transportation Demand Management, Complete Streets, Safe Routes to School and Pedestrian Safe Corridor initiatives. Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Public Policy from Boston University. When she's not in the office, she's creating a new playlist on Spotify, kicking back at the beach, checking out the latest foodie pop-up, searching for a great documentary, or planning her next adventure!
