Nicki Williams, (BBus, MLA Hon, Reg.NZILA)
I am a Landscape Architect working for the Christchurch City Council. I received my Master’s in Landscape Architecture (MLA) from Lincoln University in 2015 and I am a Registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects. I am also a member of the Urban Design Forum and Women in Urbanism and I was secretary for the Christchurch NZILA branch committee for 3 years. Prior to completing my MLA I worked for 15 years as a Chartered Accountant reaching the level of Financial Controller for a local International company. I am also a Trustee for the newly formed Gather Foundation which is focused on empowering children, young people and their wider communities in co-designing their outdoor environments. I am increasingly interested in designing cities that are inclusive and accessible for everyone and try to bring this lens to all of my work.
