Abstract

Biography

Kathryn King is the Portfolio Manager for Regional Development at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, where she was a co-author of the Keeping Cities Moving plan and is the manages of the Innovating Streets for People programme. She joined Waka Kotahi following four years with Auckland Transport where she oversaw the city's largest ever investment in cycling. Kathryn led the safety programme, that has now delivered survivable speeds across 700km of streets in Auckland. Kathryn spent 15 years in London, managing walking, cycling and safety projects, over eight of them with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
