Charlotte is the Pūhoi to Warkworth (P2W) Project Team Leader for Geotechnics. She is responsible for a team of field and laboratory technicians who work on the P2W Project. She also oversees staff development and training as well as the building on the testing capabilities of the Pūhoi laboratory. Charlotte is also the IANZ signatory for field, lab, and concrete testing for Pūhoi.

Thorsten has been involved with the design and construction of existing and greenfield pavements since 1991. Working for a contractor for most of his working career while gaining experience as a consultant has sparked an interest in the “art” of granular pavement layer compaction for many years. Through his involvement on the National Pavements Technical Group (NPTG) he drafted a guidance document that outlines the procedure for performing the Plateau Density test, which Waka Kotahi NZTA is considering publishing as a Specification. Thorsten is currently the Pavement Design Manager for Higgins Contractors and provides clients with the most appropriate solution for their material and pavement challenges.
