Biography

Aurelie is an independent consultant who advises ASX 20 companies on the responsible implementation of AI. She also works as Principal Research Consultant on Responsible AI for CSIRO-DATA61, Australia’s National Science Agency, and is the co-chair of Australia Computer Society’s AI Ethics Committee. She leads global initiatives for the implementation of Responsible AI. To cite a few, she is: • The chair of the standards committee representing Australia at ISO/IEC JTC1 SC42; • An expert advisor for the Responsible AI Institute which under the umbrella of the World Economic Forum is developing the first accredited global certification program for AI; and • an expert on AI risks and Accountability and AI incidents for OECD.ai Group. In 2021, she was appointed by the European Commission as an expert as part of their international outreach initiative, which helps promote the EU’s vision on sustainable and trustworthy AI. Also in 2021, she won the Australia-New Zealand Women in AI and the Law award, she was recognised by Women in AI Ethics (WAIE) as one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics globally, and the Responsible AI Institute Leadership Award.

Biography

Angela is an experienced and accomplished Technology Executive who has led companies through significant technology and transformational change. She recently joined AA Insurance after several years as Chief Information & Technology Officer at New Zealand Rugby. Angela is responsible for AA Insurance's Digital, Data & Technology teams to create more great experiences for its customers now and into the future. Angela has worked in several executive technology and leadership roles in both the public and private sector, across sectors such as Telecommunications, Consulting, Solutions Delivery & National Sporting Organisations. In addition to her professional experience, Angela works on various boards and committees and is a member of the Institute of Directors. In 2023, she was awarded the IDC & Brightstar CIO of the Year.

Biography

Daniel is responsible for the design and strategy of the FMA, and have responsibility for research, data-based analytics, policy, and external relations and communications. Daniel has extensive experience in developing and delivering strategic direction, capability and planning, implementing policy and legislative changes, while leading successful and diverse teams at a global level. Previously, Daniel has held leadership roles at HM Treasury in the UK (where he negotiated the Reinsurance Directive and Solvency 2), several global investment banks, a crypto-exchange, as well as an Advisor to the International Monetary Fund. Daniel holds an MA in Economics from York University, Toronto, and a Ph.D. Economics, from Queen Mary University of London, where also holds an Honorary Professorship.

In her role at Accenture, Deborah combines her strategic vision with a hands-on approach, steering the financial services practice towards the forefront of Gen AI for Insurance. Her insights into the intersection of technology and risk management make her a sought-after thought leader in the field. In addition, Deborah is an active champion for gender equity and elevating women into leadership roles across the Insurance industry. She is active on a number of committees and is a member of the Institute of Directors and INFINZ. She is also heavily involved with her local Surf Life Saving club.
