Biography

Jim works for Northland and is currently employed by NZTA Since leaving the UK he's lived in NZ for a decade working in private and public sector. At NZTA he is responsible for the delivery of the Northland Programme. A Civil Engineer by birth, his focus is creating solutions which make a difference to our communities and unlock possibilities.

Biography

Nalisha Kesha Nalisha is a transport planning specialist, with 11 years’ experience working across local government and private practice in New Zealand and the UK. Nalisha’s current role as a Senior Transport Planner at Auckland Transport has seen her managing the development of the Indicative Business Case for the North West Rapid Transit Corridor. Nalisha also recently worked closely with the NZ Transport Agency on the Northern Corridor Improvements Indicative and Detailed Business Cases. Prior to her role at AT, Nalisha worked as a consultant in London and was involved in a range of development and infrastructure projects, including the Business Case for High Speed 2, the high speed rail connection from London to Leeds and Manchester. Jenson Varghese Jenson is a transportation planner and engineer with a broad range of experience in project management, transport planning and business case consulting. As MRCagney’s New Zealand Regional Manager, Jenson is responsible for managing MRCagney’s NZ operations which includes a team of 18 urban planners, urban designers, transport and public transport specialists. Jenson is passionate about creating positive social and urban outcomes through his projects, with a particular focus on sustainable transport. Jenson has worked on a wide variety of transport projects from strategic plans through to engineering design in New Zealand. Australia and the Pacific. Jenson was deputy Team Leader for the NorthWest Rapid Transit Corridor IBC. Steve Dudley A planner by background, Steve has spent most of the 20 years of his career in transport planning, working in both private and public sectors. He has worked at all stages of projects from structure planning, district plans, business cases as well as managing the design and implementation of stations and interchanges. Steve has managed studies and business cases for all manner of transport outcomes from greenfield structure plans to highways, but has a particular interest in public transport and more specifically, interchanges as they are the places that blend the place and economic function of the urban fabric with the movement and efficiency of a transit service and involve a heavy consideration of people and their specific needs. Steve has led many business cases and concepts for busways and railways and the detailed design of stations and interchanges such as Newmarket and Otahuhu. Steve is currently Technical Director and Transport Planning Lead for New Zealand for Aurecon and was Project Director for the North West Rapid Transit Business Case.

Biography

Marcus Pillay is the Principal Engineer Investigation Design Major Project Auckland Transport in the Central Area Auckland. He is the requirement manager for the Well-Connected Alliance for the Waterview Shared path sub-alliance with NZTA and the WellConnected Alliance Partners. Marcus was also the client representative on the design and build of the Waterview Shared path. He has a Masters in Engineering Study Transport as well as an Masters in Business Administration from the University of Auckland. He has program design management, project design management and supervision experience in local government.
