Ms Catherine Morrison
Safe Roads NZ Transport Agency
End-to-end engagement
3:45 PM - 4:00 PMBiography
Cath’s entry into the world of communications was phenomenal, as in, record-breaking. Her first comms role at Aviva Insurance included singing on a number-one hit record, which made the Guinness Book of Records. Cath thought this was a sure sign that comms would lead her to Hollywood.
In her 20 years in comms, Cath has worked for BNZ, EQC, IRD, and TPK – but not, as of yet, MGM. She is currently with the NZ Transport Agency working on the Safe Roads programme. Cath and her wonderful team deliver communications and engagement across the country. The impact of the work is far more rewarding than breaking records.
Shelley is Safe Roads Engagement Manager. She spent more than two decades working in advertising agencies in London and in New Zealand, including Saatchi Wellington when the agency was at its peak.
Her senior management roles at Westpac and Telecom have resulted in a well-rounded communications professional with a gift for tackling the harder tasks such as contentious messaging, complex subject matter and diverse audiences.
She is a firm believer that communications investment must be hard-wired to business performance.
