Biography

Matthew is a Principal Transport Planner with extensive experience in the public transport, freight, pedestrian, cycling, and planning sectors. His work over the last 17 years has been in the public and private sectors in New Zealand and Europe, and he has a particularly interest in new technologies and how they can be used to address the challenges of air quality, congestion and road safety.

Biography

Susan Hutchinson-Daniel has over 10 years experience in travel demand management, active modes promotion and road safety education with the Sustainable Transport team at Greater Wellington Regional Council. Her vision is that new tools like Smart Travel will add an essential “human connection” factor to network optimisation and greater resilience in NZ communities.

Biography

Roger is a Director in AECOM's Transport Advisory Practice. He holds the role of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Technical Practice Leader – Transport Advisory and is the NSW Transport Advisory Team Leader. Roger has 17 years' experience in transport advisory roles, including 10 in leadership roles. He has led major urban transport infrastructure project teams as well as functional, engaged business units of more than 50 people. He is a specialist in the development of transport strategies and transport infrastructure project development, with technical expertise in customer centric transit planning to drive positive urban change, creating vibrant places for people. He is an advocate of effective public transport infrastructure and service planning to create liveable urban environments. He has extensive experience in the strategic development of public transport projects bringing together transport planning, engineering, design and economic evaluation working across the project lifecycle from feasibility to operations.

Biography

Louise Baker is Opus International Consultant’s ‘Market Sector Lead for Smart Mobility and Advisory Services’. She has expertise in transportation planning, she’s also a scientist and she’s led numerous strategic and research projects in the smart mobility space, including three research papers in 2015 for Auckland Council looking at what a Smart City means for Auckland. Louise’s expertise in the smart mobility sector has led her to present at numerous conferences in New Zealand and overseas: in 2016 she spoke to the NZ Parliament about smart and sustainable cities, and she was a panellist on Radio NZ National's Cities of Tomorrow programme. She’s also an advisor to a number of transportation technology startups.
