Biography

I am a Perinatal Psychiatrist who has specialised in Mindfulness Based therapies including ACT, MICBT and Positive Neuroplasticity. I am also a Mindful Self-Compassion Meditation teacher (Kristin Neff and Chris Germer) and a Mindful Yin Yoga teacher. I have a business called The MindFitnessDr. Which is, Medicine for your Body, Mind and Soul. I teach micro-MindFitness practices to health professionals through MindFit Yin Yoga, Courses and Coaching.These are practices you can do in your busy day to activate your parasympathetic nervous system and find your calm.How health professionals can put on their own oxygen masks first, so they cam continue to care for others. Currently, I am teaching self-care practices to burnt out health professionals through the Mindful Self-Compassion course . I am developing a 8 -Week online program on called The MindFitDr: How To Deal with Stress and Burnout in Medicine, which will start in May. This leads you through a seven step process to find your calm and connection , through the SOARING SYSYTEM. This is the MindFitness Method For Self-Care, based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Neuroplasticity and Mindful Self-Compassion. I also have The MindFitness Gym, which is a membership platform teaching Lifestyle Psychiatry based on the Four Walls of Wellness. Each month, we explore a different theme and this month is How to Manage Stress and Prevent Burnout.
