Janet Wilson has worked in the media for many years on both sides of the camera, as a journalist and presenter. In this workshop she will draw on her vast experience to provide training to doctors who may find themselves approached for comment or interview.

Janet Wilson is one of New Zealand’s most experienced media practitioners, with more than thirty years experience in journalism.
She has worked both for the three commercial Australian television networks, the ABC and TVNZ, TV3 and Sky/Prime in New Zealand in various roles as a news presenter, current affairs journalist and current affairs producer. She reported for programmes such as Assignment and 60 Minutes and formerly produced TV ONE’s Sunday and Close Up programmes.
For 15 years, Janet ran her own strategic consultancy business, Deadline Ltd, which provided media training, issues and crisis communications management as well as ongoing advice to a range of corporate, public sector and local and central government clients.
Janet now has a weekly syndicated column in The Dominion-Post, The Christchurch Press and Stuff.
