Biography

Founder and director of chnnl Ltd, Dr Elizabeth Berryman has a wide range of clinical governance experience over the past 10 years, with roles on both industry and community-based boards, including the New Zealand Medical Association, Chair of the NZ Benevolent Society and founding trustee of Wahine Connect (a professional mentoring service for women). She has a wealth of experience in the health sector, starting her career as a Registered Nurse in community Maori Health, before becoming a Medical Doctor working in Psychiatry as an RMO in the Northern Regional Alliance. Elizabeth is also an honorary academic and lecturer at Auckland University, Faculty of Health and Medical Science in Health informatics.

Biography

Dr Alexandra Muthu is an Occupational & Environmental Physician. Occupational Medicine champions the health benefits of good work. It takes an holistic approach through Te Whare Tapa Whā cornerstones of health and by considering work, workplace, worker and societal factors when investigating and managing risks to health and wellbeing, and recommending vocational rehabilitation. Alexandra re-joined Auckland DHB in March 2020 as Clinical Director of Occupational Health. She has a private practice providing support to individuals, small businesses and multinational organisations. Alexandra is on the RACP Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Council, the Aotearoa Committee, and has been Deputy Director of Training and on the Education Committee. She runs a Masters paper at Victoria University of Wellington on Occupational Health and Hygiene and is a certified Medical Review Officer (workplace drug and alcohol testing). Prior roles include Clinical Director of the National Telehealth Service, Air New Zealand, Proactive Rehabilitation, MAS Board, Surgery, Paediatrics, General Practice and research at Mayo Clinic’s Division of Preventive, Occupational and Aerospace Medicine.
