Lala Simpson is a highly skilled songleader, community connector, workshop facilitator and performer originally from Madagascar and based in Wellington NZ. She is well-known for her playful and joyous songleading, her passion for community singing and her ability to create a safe environment and make singers feel valued and accepted in her singing workshops. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge, a selection of easily accessible, fun, energetic and inspiring community songs from different cultures around the world, perfect for topping up your energy! Currently she is the artistic director of the Wellington Community Choir and Kotaba Voices, performs French chansons with her 3 piece-band, is a tutor for the New Zealand Choral Federation outreach program and leads singing workshops locally and internationally with Village Harmony in the US.
