Details
Hamilton has some fantastic cycle and walking routes that have developed over many years. Come and join us for an e-bike ride experience along one of our newest shared paths. The Western Rail Trail Biking Path is a 2.7km off-road shared path which utilises the existing rail corridor to connect Hamilton’s southwestern suburbs with the CBD. Along the way you will get to experience the popular Lake Rotoroa. It is expected that the ride will take approximately 1.5 hours where we will incorporate short stops to talk about points of interest.
• A health and safety induction will be given by the e-bike operator prior to riding. Cost of this is funded by the conference.
• Starting at Claudelands Events Centre (CEC) , along the new improved Claudelands Bridge and make their way along the Western Rail Trail.
• The tour guide will point out interesting facts during the ride so will have some designated stops
• Numbers will be capped at 20 with two groups of 10.
• Stop for water and Duck Island ice cream. Duck Island ice cream parlour is famous in Hamilton and a must try!
• E-bikes will be returned to the operator's shop in Victoria St
• Delegates return to their hotels from this point. Novotel and Ibis are close by
• Maps of route will be arranged
• Possible access to normal bikes if this is a preference
