David has been a minister in the last two Labour-led Governments. As Climate Change Minister in 2008, he pioneered New Zealand’s emissions trading scheme, then described by many as the most significant environmental reform in this country for decades. He is currently leading the Government’s major reform of resource management law.
David maintains strong interests in the protection of civil liberties, as well as in policies that enhance economic growth and address the growing extremes between rich and poor, while protecting the environment.

Born in Mt Eden and having attended Auckland Grammar School Paul lives with his wife and their four children in the Epsom electorate.
First elected off the National Party list in 2011, Paul served as the Chair of the Parliamentary Finance and Expenditure Select Committee. Following the 2014 General Election he was appointed Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and Associate Minister for ACC.
In 2016 Paul was appointed Minister of Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, Minister for Science and Innovation, and Minister for Regulatory Reform, and served in the Cabinet until the 2017 General Election. He is now Opposition spokesperson for Justice, Workplace Relations and Safety and Regulatory Reform.
Before entering Parliament, Paul created his own business as a historian and biographer focusing on New Zealand’s history and economic development. He has published 10 books, his last were biographies of Alan Gibbs (Serious Fun) and Sir William Gallagher (Legend). Between 2007 and 2010 he served as an Auckland City Councillor.
Paul is an enthusiastic pianist and has a broad interest in the arts; he is a 2nd dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and plays on the right wing for the Parliamentary Rugby team.

Simon is a Civil and Environmental Engineer with 23-years’ experience in roles for the private sector and local government. This includes 10-years leading engineering, planning, tendering, and construction teams primarily in Auckland, Wellington, and Fiji.
Simon believes in the principles of the ACT party where communities, individuals and business lead the way.

Julie Anne is working for more sustainable and just communities, and advocates for infrastructure that delivers for our people and protects the climate.
Before entering politics, Julie Anne’s professional career was in transport and urban planning. She advised local and central government organisations on policy and economic evaluation of transport projects as a consultant for some of New Zealand's leading firms.

Rohan O’Neill-Stevens is a politician, activist, resource management commissioner, and campaigner. First elected to Nelson City Council in 2019, as its youngest ever councillor, they were appointed Deputy Mayor in 2022.
Rohan is involved in a range of local and national organisations, with a focus on climate action, urban development, safe and sustainable transport, arts and creativity, indigenous self-determination, and youth development. They’ve worked extensively in bringing regional challenges into national discussions, and encouraging an intersectional, intergenerational approach to decision-making.
Since 2023 Rohan has served as the President of Trafinz, and is passionate about increasing membership, advocacy, and engagement, ensuring Trafinz remains a trusted voice for transport issues.
