Rob has worked in the transport and environment sectors in New Zealand and the UK for close on 30 years in a range of outcome focused positions including technical specialist, management as well as strategic leadership. For the last decade or so Rob has worked at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency where he is currently the lead environmental strategic advisor. He is the out-going secretary of the PIARC (World Road Association) environment committee and is a current member of the Climate Change Commission’s Transport Technical Reference Group. His current focus is on addressing the challenge of reducing land transport greenhouse gas emissions and improving public health outcomes, particularly in urban areas.

Jenson is a transportation planner and engineer with a broad range of experience in project management, transport planning and business case consulting. As MRCagney’s New Zealand Manager, Jenson is responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team of urban planners, urban designers, data scientists, transport and public transport specialists.
Jenson has had a leadership or governance role on several high-profile strategic planning projects and business cases across New Zealand. Jenson oversaw the development of the Transport2030 model and website.
Beth is a current engineering science student at the University of Auckland, and is working in the data science team at MRCagney. She is passionate about finding solutions using data, and having a positive impact in the climate change space. Beth has the primary developer of the Transport2030 model and website.

Lewis is a senior planner at MRCagney’s Auckland office with over 10 years' experience across public, private and academic sectors. He provides a range of transport operations and strategic advice on projects throughout New Zealand and Australia. His international experience includes public transit operations and network planning (MTA New York City Transit); traffic engineering consulting (USA); and public and active transport research (USA). He is particularly fascinated by how human biases and heuristics impact behaviour within complex urban systems. He holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (USA) and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).

Abigail works within AT’s Sustainable Mobility Team, on the Travelwise Choices programme. She works with organisations to help promote and encourage more sustainable commuting and business travel habits.
As well as helping individual organisations to achieve their sustainable travel goals, Abi is also part of the team behind the Aotearoa Bike Challenge in Auckland, a challenge which see 6000+ Aucklanders take to two wheels each February.
Abigail has a background in Transport Planning, having worked in the UK delivering Urban Transport Plans as well as Safer Routes to school and Cycling programmes.

Luke thrives on ideation and finding solutions. As programme manager for Genesis Energy’s office move to Wynyard Quarter, Luke was responsible for the delivery of sustainable travel solutions, the office build, energy management integration, change management and staff engagement. Luke has a commercial property background and is future focused, he embraced every opportunity to collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to derive and deliver impactful transport solutions for Genesis and it’s 350 Auckland-based staff as part of their move to the city.

Creating sustainable transport with drone networks

Richard leads the development of Swoop Aero’s New Zealand network as New Zealand Operations Manager, identifying opportunities to launch a first of its kind capability in NZ. Prior to joining Swoop Aero Richard was a National Director for Disaster Relief Australia, which included managing their award-winning Aerial Damage Assessment Team. He was previously a Program Manager with Forest Fire Management Victoria, managing fire programs and staff, including during the most recent Black Summer bushfires. Richard started his career as a commissioned officer in the British Army, managing training, running trials and development, and leading soldiers on operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Caroline Shaw is an epidemiologist and public health medicine specialist in the Department of Public Health, University of Otago Wellington. She teaches postgraduate environmental health and undergraduate public health. She researches in the area of climate change mitigation, population health and transport policy.
