Using parking reform to decarbonise transport

11:10 AM - 11:20 AM

Final presentation

Biography

I am passionate about creating vibrant, interesting and engaging cities. Our Streets are one of our greatest public assests and for too long they have been dominated by cars. Streets are needed for movement, but they should also be used as spaces to meet up, play, hang out and eat. Our cities and towns are growing, climate change action is needed urgently and the way we travel is rapidly evolving with new technologies. Hence, we need to rethink our transport strategies to cate for these changes. Some great work has started around the country in this space but there is much more we can do. My work at MRCagney gives councils, government agencies and developers the advice and tools needed to realise the full potential of our streets and encourage more sustainable forms of travel. I specialise in smart parking management, planning, transport strategy, effective communication, last mile logistics and transport technology. I have over 13 years' experience in the private consultancy and local governmentin these areas.
