Meghan is a Senior Transport Planner working in Abley’s Wellington office. Meghan joined Abley after moving to New Zealand from the UK almost a year ago. Meghan has gained broad experience in the public and private sector including strategic, micro-simulation and junction modelling; development planning; business cases; and strategic planning. Before joining Abley, Meghan worked at Transport for London where she gained a passion for public transport and multi-modal solutions. Meghan considers inclusivity and accessibility in all her project work, believing everyone should have access to sustainable mobility options.

Does a streetlight’s spectrum impact safety?

Abstract

Bill is a recognised expert in transport safety and transport statistics, with skills developed through working in various engineering and research positions in WSP, the Ministry of Transport and the former Land Transport Safety Authority (LTSA). He has advised Waka Kotahi on a variety of topics including topics including TTM. Bill has managed many large-scale research projects and reviews relating to road safety, road transport and policy development. He was Manager Research and Statistics at the Ministry of Transport immediately before joining Opus (now WSP) in July 2007 and between 2004 and 2006 managed the Austroads Road Safety Program. Bill has written and spoken extensively as an advocate and technical expert on road safety and other areas of land transport. He was an invited speaker in May 2014 at the North American Conference on Elderly Mobility. Bill received Austroads Achievement Awards both for his management of the Austroads Safety Program of strategic research in the period 2004–2006 and his contribution to the production of the iAustroads Road Safety Guides. He has thrice received the AA prize for the best transportation paper at the ENZ Transportation Group.
