Twan van Duivenbooden is Auckland Transport’s Design Review Manager, leading the ‘behind the scenes’ review processes for new and changed infrastructure on Auckland’s roads. Having worked in the public sector for over 10 years in the Netherlands, Scotland and New Zealand, Twan has been able to tap into best practice on people-focussed design, active modes and project delivery. As a long time national rowing umpire, he is well familiar with adjudication – a skill that is highly necessary when dealing with differences in opinion between Subject Matter Experts and designers.
