He applied his analytical, engineering, modelling, and resilience skills to manage different projects in a dynamic Auckland Motorway Network.

Sarah is the Team Leader – Transport Strategy and Infrastructure, at Tauranga City Council (TCC). She has nearly 20 years’ experience in traffic and transportation management; in New Zealand and previously in the UK. Sarah has technical and project management experience, including Business Cases, and strategy and policy development. Sarah's role covers a wide range of transportation projects, but her passion lies in the active and sustainable travel space, and the interaction between transport and communities.
Sarah has been the TCC rep for the SmartTrip project, in conjunction with Waka Kotahi. The project team has been supported by Craig and his Beca team with the technical modelling and advisory work that underpins the proof of concept development and testing to date.

Craig is a Technical Director at Beca and Aotearoa New Zealand transport planning discipline lead. In this role Craig provides input and leadership on strategic land use and transport projects. Craig is passionate about how city-scale transport planning and design can deliver positive benefits to people, communities and the environment.

Bill Frith has managed many large-scale research projects and reviews relating to road safety, road transport and policy development. He has written and spoken extensively as an advocate and technical expert on road safety and other areas of land transport. Bill has been involved in speed management over much of his career.

A skilled safety professional Fergus has an extensive understanding of safety issues, crash and conflict data and safety auditing including the safe system assessment framework and its variants.
