Dilys is a Transport Planner and Engineer at Tonkin + Taylor. Her work includes design for cycle and pedestrian infrastructure, business cases and consenting inputs, stakeholder engagement, and climate change adaptation planning. Dilys joined the transport industry in 2021, fuelled by aspirations to work in people-centered infrastructure. This interest emerged from an unconventional past in classical singing and teaching high school science. In her spare time, Dilys is learning Te Reo Māori and looking for more conversation buddies.

I have been working for local government in the transport planning profession for 6 years, both in Auckland and Tauranga. I am passionate about the relationship between land use and transport, and decisions on both shape our cities.

Tim Rickards is a principal Land Development Engineer working for Woods in Auckland. Tim works with developers to improve the built infrastructure on their land, his role takes projects from concept design right through to signing off the finished construction works. Tim has over 15 years working in the industry with the last 6 years focused on the Milldale development in Auckland. Before then Tim has worked on retirement villages, resorts, prisons, desalination plants, sports complexes wastewater treatment facilities, as well as many other housing developments. Tim's skills range from stormwater and wastewater infrastructure design through to road geometric and pavement design. Tim is not a transport engineer by training, but has a heavy influence on the outcomes of transport engineering through his work. Tim is also on the school board at Green Bay School and has worked with a group of students to develop a transport plan for the school.
