Biography

Daniel has been at AT for over 13 years, leading strategic transport projects on a range of topics. He is currently tasked with planning and managing several of the region's rapid transit projects, including the Waitemata Harbour Connections project. He has been the editor of the Group's Roundabout magazine for many years and is a past Chair of the Group's Auckland branch.

Biography

Richard is a Senior Consultant at MRCagney with broad experience including research studies, business case development and economic analysis. Richard is passionate about improving equitable access to opportunities and decarbonising transport. Richard has an honours degree in engineering (Civil Engineering) and a bachelor’s degree in economics. The intersection of these qualifications provides him with a good foundation for understanding the complex relationships between the built environment and economic outcomes. As part of his studies, Richard spent two semesters abroad where he was exposed to contrasting urban settings, cultural contexts, and transport solutions which allows him a broad perspective on transport projects.

With her passion ignited for road safety and mobility while working in the South Island, Olivia continued her journey in her hometown of Auckland, honing her skills over the last eight years. Olivia seamlessly blends safety and efficiency. She is dedicated to creating communities that prioritize the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport users. From the planning of cycling lanes, bus stops, and pedestrian facilities to speed management strategies, investment plans, and performance tracking, Olivia champions a safe systems approach. As a key member of the Abley Road Safety team, Olivia is a professional in domestic and international endeavours.

Biography

Courtney is a Senior Transport Engineer at Stantec based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). She has a broad range of experience from construction supervision through to transport planning. In recent years she has found herself helping councils and communities grapple with the impacts of a changing climate, and what that means now and 50-100 years from now. The resilience and recovery space is rapidly changing as are expectations around the speed of recovery work. Courtney's friendly and frank approach helps communities navigate their way through some very challenging situations to an outcome everyone can (mostly) live with.
