Tim Rickards is a principal Land Development Engineer working for Woods in Auckland.
Tim works with developers to improve the built infrastructure on their land, his role takes projects from concept design right through to signing off the finished construction works.
Tim has over 15 years working in the industry with the last 6 years focused on the Milldale development in Auckland. Before then Tim has worked on retirement villages, resorts, prisons, desalination plants, sports complexes wastewater treatment facilities, as well as many other housing developments.
Tim's skills range from stormwater and wastewater infrastructure design through to road geometric and pavement design. Tim is not a transport engineer by training, but has a heavy influence on the outcomes of transport engineering through his work.

Dr John Welford holds a master’s degree in Electronic, Systems and Control Engineering and a PhD in Mechatronics. He has previously worked in the defence and automotive industries, but currently leads the WSP New Zealand Systems Engineering team. He has worked on rail and transit projects based in the UK, Middle-East, Australia and New Zealand.
John is also the current Secretary of the New Zealand Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).

Sam is the Managing Director of Safe System Solutions in New Zealand. Safe System Solutions is a specialist road safety engineering consultancy with offices in Australia, New Zealand and Sweden. Before starting the New Zealand branch of Safe System Solutions, Sam held road safety leadership positions in WSP New Zealand.
Sam is a Chartered Professional Engineer and member of the Institute of Directors. He sits on the committee for the NZ branch of the Australasian College of Road Safefy and Engineering NZ Transport Group - Auckland / Northland Branch.
Sam has worked in a variety of road safety areas including network safety, level crossing safety, motorcycle safety, and has led Safe System Audits throughout the North Island. Sam has presented on topics including crash analysis, suicide resilience and inclusion of Te ao Māori in road safety.
Sam was part of the team that won the National Award for Road Safety from the National Road Trauma Centre for suicide prevention in transport. He was also part of the team who were twice finalist for 3M road safety innovation awards, finalist for Trafinz Road Safety Leadership award and received a Merit Award from Association of Consulting Engineers.

Molly is a Transport Planner with an interest in connecting people and place through environmentally sustainable and socially equitable modes She co-created the award-winning Gender Equality Toolkit in Transport (GET IT) and has worked hard to promote its use to a range of audiences including local authorities, consultants and operators to encourage them to create more inclusive transport systems. She is passionate about creating a more diverse transport industry which supports, retains and empowers women and is also keen to see safer and secure transport services as a result.
New to New Zealand from the UK, she is keen to apply best practice and bring solutions to a new home
