Stephen reckons having good outdoor access across our motu is the crucial link between active transport and outdoor recreation. He looks after the Herenga ā Nuku communications and partnerships team, helps tell Herenga ā Nuku's stories, and ensures people have the information they need about outdoor access.

Matt is passionate about GIS and its possibilities for organisations. He reckons he knows enough to be dangerous. His core role is to enable his team to do the magic that creates, maintains, and improves our maps and data for the public good. He brings over twenty years of experience in GIS, both in NZ and the UK, to Herenga ā Nuku.

Biography

With over 20 years of experience in landscape architecture, urban design and project management, Amy is passionate about creating sustainable and liveable environments that enhance the quality of life for people and communities. As the Design Manager/Principal Project Manager within the Major Transport Projects team at Wellington City Council, Amy provides expert design and delivery advice and coordinates complex transport projects like Golden Mile and Thorndon Quay. One of her strengths is relationship management involving mana whenua, local government entities and key stakeholders like accessibility groups, residents’ associations, utility operators and business groups. Previously Amy was a Technical Advisory Group member to the Let’s Get Wellington Moving programme of projects specialising in urban design advice.

Biography

Courtney is a Senior Transport Engineer at Stantec based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington. In recent years she has found herself helping councils and communities grapple with the impacts of a changing climate, and what that means now and 50-100 years from now. The resilience and recovery space is rapidly changing as are expectations around the speed of recovery work. Courtney's friendly and frank approach helps communities navigate their way through some very challenging situations to an outcome everyone can (mostly) live with.

Biography

Dr. Hyun Chan Kim is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Engineering and Industrial Design at Wintec, NZ. He holds a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Canterbury and specialises in transportation planning, sustainable urban mobility, and mode choice modelling. With over a decade of teaching and research experience across NZ, the U.S., and S. Korea, Dr. Kim has led projects on micro-mobility, demand-responsive transport, and freight mode choice. His recent work focuses on resilient transport solutions for ageing populations and rural communities, aiming to inform data-driven policy and infrastructure planning.
