Zane leads the real time operation at the Auckland Transport Operations Centre (WTOC), where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of New Zealand's transport network. Zane leads a dedicated team that ensures the systems and procedures used to monitor and manage real-time traffic operations network enhance safety and efficiency. Christine's leadership and innovative approach to improve the resilience and reliability of the transport network, makes her an influential figure in the field of transport operations.
Hayden is a Principal in Digital Consulting at Beca, based in Tauranga. He brings deep expertise in intelligent transport systems and corridor operations, with a focus on simplifying architecture and integrating digital capabilities into operational environments. Hayden works with both the ATOC and WTOC to implement and operate managed motorway initiatives, including automation and network optimisation. His collaborative approach and strategic insight help shape future-ready transport operations across New Zealand.

Stephen Christie is a Principal Analyst with the Wellington Transport Analytics Unit at Greater Wellington Regional Council. He leads the State of the Transport Network evidence base for the 2027 Regional Land Transport Plan. Building off that work, he and his colleagues produce the region’s new monthly “Transport Insights” report series and associated interactive dashboards. His current interests include peak‑demand management, transport access equity, and road safety.

Miriam is an urban designer who believes urban design is a powerful tool to help communities re-imagine their streets and spaces that put people at the heart. Through her role, she is dedicated to designing equitable and climate-resilient urban places.
Based in Te Whanganui a Tara, outside of work, Miriam is a committee member of Women in Urbanism Aotearoa and an elected member on the Tawa Community Board.

Jon is the Policy Lead at Ihi Aotearoa Sport NZ where he focuses on working with other organisations to use the power of sport and physical activity to improve the lives of New Zealanders. He has a background in central government and worked in a range of policy roles at the Ministry of Social Development and Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment before joining Sport NZ in 2020.
Originally from the southwest of England, Jon has lived in Te Whanganui a Tara for the last 21 years with his wife and three kids. When he can fit it in between ferrying his kids around to all their activities, he enjoys getting out on the golf course and exploring the great network of trails around Wellington.
