After completing a degree in Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) from the University of Auckland, Anika joined a 3 year graduate programme with Auckland Transport, GHD and Fulton Hogan. She is currently part of the transportation team working on infrastructure project delivery at GHD. Anika recently took part in an innovation competition organised by GHD called smart seeds, and is bringing her findings to the conference.
She has previously presented at the IPENZ transportation group conference in 2017 and was awarded 3M’s Traffic Safety Young professional Award 2017 and best student paper for her university final year project.
Anika is passionate about transportation and has been an active member of the transportation group since 2017.

Rebecca is a Graduate Transportation Engineer who began her role with Abley in January 2018. Rebecca works on a variety of transportation projects for both public and private sector clients, including traffic engineering, land development planning and road safety analysis.

Simon Douglas is the National Manager for Policy and Research at the NZAA. The AA has a team of advisors based in Wellington and Auckland who provide advocacy on behalf of its 1.6 million Members on issues including safety, investment and consumer affairs. As part of his role, Simon manages the AA Research Foundation which invests in road safety research including on risk, speed, restraints use and understanding crashes and their causes.
