Non-Member Surcharge

Any delegate or presenter who is not a financial member of the Transportation Group (excludes Exhibitors, Sponsors, members of Engineering NZ, Trafinz, ITE ANZ and IPWEA) is required to pay a surcharge. The cost for this is $138 + GST ($158.70 inc GST).

Eligibilty for Students and Young Professionals

Please note that the applications for these registration types will be open in December and will close Friday 31 January 2020.
The Transportation Group National Committee is pleased to be able to offer reduced registration fees to eligible members as part of our encouragement of the attendance of young professionals and students at this year’s conference.
Any member of the Transportation Group who is under the age of 30 years old on 1 March 2020 is eligible to attend the conference as a young professional.
In addition, full-time students who are members of the Transportation Group (irrespective of age) and not in any professional employment may attend either one or all days of the conference at reduced daily rates. Once we receive your registration, you will be asked to provide a scan of your student ID to confirm your registration.

Extra tickets for social functions

Welcome function tickets may be purchased during the online registration process for $125.00 incl. GST per ticket.        
Conference dinner tickets for day registrants, exhibitors or additional tickets for partners may be purchased during the online registration process for $172.50 incl. GST per ticket.        

Payment

Payment instructions will be given during the registration process.  There are two payment options.
  1. Select invoice me and an invoice will be emailed
  2. Credit card at time of registration (MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Diners)

Confirmation

Confirmation of registration along with invoice or payment will be sent to you via email automatically upon completion of your registration.

Cancellation Policy

Should you be unable to attend once you have registered, you may reassign your registration to another person. You must advise the Conference Secretariat on 03 352 5598 or email rachel@hardingconsultants.co.nz. Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing.  Cancellations made on or before Friday 7 February 2020, will be refunded less 30% to cover administration costs. No refunds or credits will be given after this date, irrespective of whether paid or not.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy

The conference has secured block bookings as indicated on the accommodation page. Rooms will be allocated on a first-in basis until Friday 7 February 2020, as long as there are rooms available. After that date, all unallocated rooms will be released and no guarantee can be made that rooms will be available. If you cancel your accommodation after Friday 7 February 2020, you will be charged a cancellation fee levied by the accommodation provider.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel insurance and medical insurance prior to the conference. The policy should include loss of fees through cancellation of your participation in the conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters the meeting secretariat cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates. Nor can the secretariat take responsibility for injury or damage to property or persons occurring during the conference or associated activities. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.

Informal Networking Event

Come meet the night before conference

An informal networking opportunity has been organised the night before conference, at The Retropolitan Social Club, in The Salt District, 255 St Asaph Street, Christchurch CBD.

Meet the TG Canterbury Branch Team there at 5:30pm. After the conclusion of this event at 7:30pm, this will be a great opportunity to form your own groups to dine out at one of the many restaurant options in Christchurch.  The nearby Little High Eatery offers 8 different local and family run businesses inside a modern marketplace with lots of shared seating.

This will be a pay as you go event. Platters will be kindly provided by the TG Canterbury Branch and Abley are providing a generous bar tab.

Acknowledgement of risks at ENZ Transportation Group Conference 2020

The Engineering New Zealand Transportation Group Conference 2020 (Transportation 2020) may include physical activities which involve personal danger. In consideration of being permitted to take part in conference activities, the undersigned for his/herself, his/her personal representatives, heirs and next of kin (together referred to as the "Delegate") hereby gives the following acknowledgement, waiver and release from liability in favour of Engineering New Zealand Transportation Group, the Conference Organisers (Harding Consultants), officers, agents, contractors, and employees.

Please read this acknowledgement, waiver and release from liability carefully before finalising your online registration.

I understand that participating in Transportation 2020 may involve travel on public and private roads and outdoor and/or physical activities including walking and cycling. The hazards include, but are not limited to, walking, cycling, car, bus, actions of other participants or the general public, weather conditions and my physical and mental state of health. In my judgement, I am fit and well enough to participate in the conference safely.

I note that any physical activity, such as walking or cycling, that I opt to take part in, including any field trips, will be outlined to me in detail at a later date, including the route to be taken. I will then sign that I have sighted this route via the attendee app onsite at conference.

I agree to abide by the rules of the conference providers and to the extent allowed by law, release Engineering New Zealand Transportation Group, the Conference Organisers and sponsors from any liability to me or my/their successors, and I agree to participate at my own risk.

I agree to the use of any photos, videos or digital footage being used for the promotion of ENZ Transportation Group conferences.

Payment Options

Credit card payments
⁠PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of requirements created by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council for enhancing cardholder data security and to ensure the safe handling and storage of sensitive customer credit card information / data. Direct Payment Solutions Group (trading as Payment Express Ltd) is a Level 1 Service Provider and is compliant to PCI DSS Version 3.2 standard.
