Coaching climate action: recruit and support young leaders
10:45 AM - 11:00 AMBiography
Arthur Orsini started developing walk- and bike-to-school programs in 1996 in Vancouver, Canada. He is passionate about the need to involve the target audience in behaviour change strategies - and has collaborated on successful projects in many countries with leaders from as young as 10-years-old through to retirees. The successes he has achieved in ground-breaking programs in elementary, middle and high schools came from strong student leadership, empowerment and skill-building. Through www.urbanthinkers.ca, Arthur has offered youth engagement training and support to colleagues across Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the USA. He lives in Metro Vancouver and has never owned a car.
