Biography

Jason Roberts is the Programme Manager for Mechanical and Gas Cylinder Testing at IANZ. He has been with IANZ for eight years, including six and a half as a Lead Assessor in both the Mechanical and Chemical & Biological testing programmes, and the past 18 months in his current role. With a background in chemical testing laboratories prior to joining IANZ, Jason brings over 13 years of experience working in and with quality systems, some of them even largely compliant with ISO/IEC 17025. He works closely with testing laboratories across New Zealand, particularly in the civil and construction sectors, to support the delivery of sound, defensible results through practical implementation of accreditation requirements. His current focus includes programme development, stakeholder engagement, and keeping IANZ criteria aligned with international best practice - and occasionally, reality.

Biography

Grant Bosma has worked in the roading industry for over 40 years. Most of his career has been with contractors in roles that included laboratory management, technical support and manufacturing. More recently he has joined the NZ Transport Agency as Principal Engineer, Surfacings, providing technical representation and support to NZTA and other organisations. Grant is involved with the review and update of NZTAs pavement engineering technical specifications, particularly related to pavement materials and surfacings. He brings his technical knowledge and industry experience to the review process ensuing updates are technically sound while practical to procure and construct.

Biography

Robin Power has spent his career pushing boundaries – and encouraging others to do the same. As a strategist, educator and advocate for better civil construction practices, he brings fresh thinking to longstanding challenges. His leadership is both practical and visionary – and it shapes everything Insitutek does. He combines practical understanding, theoretical knowledge and commercial business acumen and blends this with his background as a manufacturing engineer to look at civil construction through the eyes of people and process. For over 15 years, Robin has worked with civil engineering consultants, asset owners, government agencies, contractors and research organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, enabling them to implement modern ground improvement and in situ testing methods to increase productivity, lower cost, improve quality, reduce risk and reduce their environmental impact. Robin is passionate about sustainability in civil construction and is the founding chair of the Ground Level Alliance.
