Technical Tour Waiver

Tour Waiver

Please read all information carefully.

It is my responsibility to understand New Zealand Road rules. I accept that any injury caused to myself, ourselves, or others during the period of the technical tour is not the responsibility of the organisers.

I understand that there are certain risks involved with e-biking, walking, crossing roads and travelling on a bus that cannot be reduced to zero. I acknowledge these risks and have made the informed decision to participate. I know I can ask any questions of the technical tour leader/s (guide/s) to gain a better understanding of the activity before deciding whether I take part and the final decision whether to take part is mine. If I decide to take part, I understand that the guide/s will identify any significant hazards that are likely to arise and correct procedures to deal with these and that it is necessary for me to follow these. The guide will take all reasonable precautions to ensure my safety. If I act outside of this advice, then I acknowledge I do so at my own risk and may be instructed to leave the tour.

The Transportation Conference 2026 organisers require all technical tour participants to read and agree to this form. In order to participate in the tour you have selected, we need you to acknowledge the above and below information.

  • I have studied the map and understand the relevant distances I may need to e-bike or walk.
  • I acknowledge the risks as outlined above.
  • I authorise the organisers to instigate any medical assistance and treatment required in an emergency.
  • I understand that my personal effects are not covered by the organiser's insurance policy.

By checking the box below you are accepting the terms of the waiver.

Please tell us if you have any medical conditions or medications we need to be aware of for the purposes of the tour.
If this section is not applicable to you, please click the 'next' button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
